how long should i wait to add a guy that I met on a night out on fb?

Question

I met a really nice guy last night in a club, we sat and talked for ages, he asked for my surname so we could facebook each other, and gave his (I've creeped, it's legit!! :P), but how long should I wait before adding? don't want to look desperate, but I *am* interested. 
should I even wait until he adds me first?
 it's like a more modern "why won't he call me?" dilemma!

any ideas? any advice on what to send as a mesage with the add?

as soon as you want to. last girl I met out, I left her apartment at like 4am, by 9 am when I checked facebook after the gym, she had already added me. Got a call from her just before lunch, told her I couldnt tonight, but I was free tomorrow, so we made a date.

The thing is, if she hadnt called me, I never in my life would have ever called her. Not because I didnt like her, but because I didnt know I had her number.

and facebook who cares? its one of those things where if you think anything of it, you think "must have added me before she forgot my name", or "wow she uses facebook more than I do", but never "wow she added me with a quickness, she must be gagging for it." In my experience, facebook adds have always been within 12 hours.

if you wait too long he will probably forget about you.

You should add him. its the 21st century and its not cool to wait for a guy to call you/add you whatever.. Just wait for like 2 days and add him.
