i only have it done for a week, but the bruising and bleeding stage is over. bad news is that the jewel from the top ball fell out in the shower, and it looks so ugly now! :(

i'm going to go back to the tattoo parlour, and ask to buy a new starter barbell [ie sterile], will they change just the ball for me? or should i wait until it's totally healed [like 6 months or more]?

i'm asking here before i go, the parlour is more than an hour away- don't want to waste a trip!

she has never said anything to me, but i know our friendship isn't working. she never talks to me, she comes to my house and says nothing all night. she uses me for my money. she never tells me anything important, if we didn't have a third "best friend" in the group, i'm going to be honest, i would never have met her. my mom thinks i don't need someone like her in my life to bring me down and depress me.

ii asked the third friend what's going on; she reluctantly admitted that in the past she has said i'm selfish, and that i turn every conversation into one about me. while that was once true, i try not to do it anymore. but isn't it better than sitting in an awkward silence? this girl doesn't speak unless she absolutely has to. last week, she stayed at my house, and spent two hours on my laptop talking to her boyfriend and another friend on G-chat. I just sat there in silence on the other side of the computer....

i can't address the issue with this girl, she doesn't know that i know she doesn't actually like me, but this is ridiculous. i know we're going to lose touch over the summer, i'm going to live with my cousins abroad for the whole break. but i feel like something needs to be said before then. what can i say to her? i don't want to leave the third friend with a "sophie's choice"

just wondering... especially when the legal age is 18

I met a really nice guy last night in a club, we sat and talked for ages, he asked for my surname so we could facebook each other, and gave his (I've creeped, it's legit!! :P), but how long should I wait before adding? don't want to look desperate, but I *am* interested.

should I even wait until he adds me first?

it's like a more modern "why won't he call me?" dilemma!

any ideas? any advice on what to send as a mesage with the add?

it's naturally mid-brown, with golden highlights.

at the moment it's semi-perm. dyed a richer brown, not darker, but more chocolate-y.

i went out last weekend with 3 friends of mine, twin boys and a girl - the girl and i were both interested in one of the boys [different ones!], but at the end of the night, we ended up with the "wrong" twin we had planned to make out with... how bad is it? what can i do? i've been avoiding both boys since...

I'm flying Paris to Tokyo, through the night. Will I really need either of these things? Or anything else?

My friend Cate was invited to a Birthday party happening this Saturday, and she asked me to be her "plus 1", but last night, the Birthday Girl told Cate to tell me that I can't come, and if I do come anyway, security will kick me out...

I don't think it's fair because Cate is entitled to invite somebody of her choice.

the BG should have discretely spoken to me directly.

What do I do?

1. talk to the Birthday Girl, see if we can work things out.

3. go anyway and stay away from the BG

I've been asked to do a reading in a Catholic school graduation mass, but I can't find anything suitable... Does anybody have any suggestions? I was looking for something about new beginnings, moving on, that sort of thing!

One of our [male] teacher gave our mixed-sex class a lecture about missing too much school due to illness, and in future he wants a doctors' note for repeat absences, and he had a list of the worst offenders [all girls- I suspect he didn't guess it was for periods].

Talking about it afterwards, I was horrified when 5 of my good friends admitted to taking "monthly sick leave" from school... that it was so commonplace! 4 days in a row off, once a month, EVERY month! We're 17, and my argument was "How does your Mother/Sister cope with going to work everyday?" along with "How do the female teachers cope? They can't miss an entire week like that?" ...Now we girls are going to get a lecture from a female teacher about it next week...

What do you think? One of the friends has prescription painkillers, so she must have it bad, but she doesn't take them.... Do you think it's ridiculous too, or should girls be entitled to "monthly sick leave"?

I'm thinking of buying one of the basic, canvas pairs, probably navy or beige... Will they look stupid in Summer with shorts? I'm still young [18], but I have "a bit of meat on my legs" [US sixe 6-8]. Could somebody upload a photo of themselves in TOM'S and shorts?

i don't mind what language, but i love listening to songs in other languages, things that would be in charts like Hot 100 or Top 40 in other countries!

i have two dogs, but lately the lab. has gotten quite sad looking... she sits on the doorstep and just whines all the time.

i think it's because of our "visitor"- i've never seen it in the neighourhood before, don't know who it belongs to, but it is a BAD DOG! always jumping up on me, pulling fresh linen off the clothes line, pooping in the wrong places, but worst of all; i think it is "bullying" the lab! [ps she's been "fixed", so no fear there!]

my only dilemma is how to i get rid of this dog without getting rid of my own? i don't feed it or pet it or any other encouragement
