is it safe to change only the ball of my navel piercing?
i only have it done for a week, but the bruising and bleeding stage is over. bad news is that the jewel from the top ball fell out in the shower, and it looks so ugly now! :(
i'm going to go back to the tattoo parlour, and ask to buy a new starter barbell [ie sterile], will they change just the ball for me? or should i wait until it's totally healed [like 6 months or more]?
i'm asking here before i go, the parlour is more than an hour away- don't want to waste a trip!

It's totally fine. I changed my whole intire bar after a week. You don't even need to waste your time going to the tattoo parlor because it's really simple to do it yourself.
