What's a good and cheap cover for a drafting table top?
Regular covers and cutting mats are way outside of my budget. There's gotta be a cheaper alternative out there. The size of my table top also makes this a bit of a challenge (30" x 42").
I use the table mostly for taking very detailed notes while doing homework.
I'm open to any help on this.

You might try looking at synthetic leather or smooth vinyl at a fabric store. If you are looking for something that has a little cushion.
