my husband has a pill addiction i need advice and not mean?
i am not sure if i love him any more he has lied to me SO many times on his pill intake,
he does have a really bad back and i know he needs then for that. but what he intakes is just wrong he goes doc to doc to get them to all the emergency rooms in our area telling them that he has no doc and his back hurts
i am talking reg doc 120 another doc 120 ETC er usually 20 -30 5 -6 x a month
if it wasn't for the pills and love him like a kid we would have a good marriage,
i am thinking of leaving him when my taxes come in and just starting over ,
i have suggested rehab counseling but until he admits he has a problem it won;t work
i am really not sure what to do any more ,,, any help or advice would be great , thanks
i have told him in more ways than one that i am not happy with the way we are living his pills are killing us, his Response what do you care i need them for my back and i didn't know i was hurting you doing this but he does it day after day ,, so i have figured they are more important than his family

he is doctor shopping for his addiction and once a person starts to do that they do have an addiction , but im sure you know that. all i can say is that if its something that is effecting your relationship and children perhaps it is best if you leave him . before i did that though i would , if you can , tell him that if he doesnt get help you cant stay with him any longer. there is nothing else you can do but leave him if he doesnt stop abusing the pills and he most likely wont either. sorry, he is addicted.
