Charlie Sheen is doing a River Phoenix, part 2 . . .?

Absolutely no comparison. River's career was never "over", in fact it never wavered (nor did the height of his popularity) during his lifetime. River never had any lawsuits, much less bad publicity. In fact River never once showed any signs of being troubled in public (I don't believe he was an addict, I think he was an occasional/recreational user & that was only briefly). Charlie Sheen's been an up and down train wreck for like over 20 years (and that was years before River's tragedy).

River and Charlie couldn't be more different in personality or lifestyle. River hated the "celebrity" aspect of fame, Charlie relishes in it. River never was a culprit of any kind of violence (he was adamantly against it), Charlie's been accused of it numerous times. River devoted his life (aside from acting & music) to animals, the environment, and humanitarian issues (and all in his teens/early 20s). Charlie spends his personal time in the media for his antics, drug abuse, spousal problems, spending time in brothels or with porn stars, & creating public disturbances. I think people, then or now, would be way less shocked if what happened to River had happened to Charlie. When River died everyone (the public, his fans, the media, even many of those who knew him) went into complete shock because he had such a good reputation, was known as genuinely kind & down to earth human being (very rare in hollywood), and was one the greatest actors of his generation. What happened to River, especially where it did, couldn't be more ironic considering type of life he led and things he hated about Hollywood. Very sad. It only took one time. River was way less troubled than Charlie. I just wish he had been given all the chances Charlie has (I'm sure just one would've done it). Charlie's very very lucky and I hope for his family's sake he gets straight for good. He should definitely know better by now.

I don't know but Charlie Sheen can do no wrong in my eyes. I just think he's a like able guy. I love River Phoenix too!!

Sheen's family is rich&Hollywood connected, he'll be fine. He'll have a starring movie role before Lohan does. Not that that's a good thing.
