How to create a simple square wave voice on a synthesizer.?

Question

I want to know how create a simple square waved sound on a MicroKorg XL synthesizer as there are no presets for one. A sound which sounds like the lead synth in Sandstorm by Darude, Pokerface by Lady GaGa and Who's that chick? by Rihanna featuring David Guetta. I'd prefer it if you told me the basics on how to do it, such as how high the resonance shoulf be, and what values i should change with the parameters.
I'd be really greatful for you help.

I'm not familiar with these songs, but this is one of the simplest sounds you can do on most synthesizers.  The square wave is a basic wave shape you can set on any given oscillator.  Leave the filter cutoff all the way open with the filter resonance all the way down.  This is your standard square wave.  Adjust filter settings as desired for some variety.
