"Build Ids are specific to a particular computer. There is a build ID located on a sticker on the bottom of the computer or back of the computer. There is also an electronic one located on the bios, and can be read by pressing CTRL ALT and S. There is also one sometimes on the discs themselves. Keep in mind to not compare the very last digit, because they would never be the same because they are identifiers to identify where you got the build id from. Ie….motherboard, sticker, cds, dmi…etc."
