Is Matt Damons' new movie?

'The Adjustment Bureau" based on facts? I notice a lot of people that seem to believe that our actions are all controlled by something else (strangely, it seems that atheists tend to believe this). Where does this idea come from? It does not seem logical to me.

Update:

Random Panther: Whenever anyone mentions choice or free will, an atheist will alomst always try to argue against it. Perhaps they are just being facetious?

As an atheist, I don't believe that in the slightest. The idea comes from humans who have an innate tendency to want to hold on to authority figures even after they've left their parents' sphere of influence.

That is not true. In cases where Christians argue that bad things are the result of the free will of human beings and not because of god's will, some atheists will point out that this means god cannot be omnipotent, like Christians claim he is. I do not argue this point because I believe arguing the attributes of a nonexistent being is redundant.

No, it just another Phillip Dick story translated to film. That poor guy was hardly known in his life time and now he is the Hollywood go to guy when they need a film idea.
