Yes. Jehovah's Witnesses are a worldwide organization, and are Christians. Take this for example and compare JW's to Christianity:
The early Christians did not celebrate holidays nor birthdays. JW's also don't, and for several (Biblical) reasons. Jesus never commissioned his followers to do so, but he did commission to remember his death.
Christianity, just like everybody else in the world, celebrates holidays including birthdays. Truthfully, birthdays are pagan and have pagan roots. birthday celebrations is thinking your the most important person (take the Bible for example. An Egyptian king or pharaoh celebrated his birthday, and cut off someone's head. King Herod had John the baptizer's head cut off. These two people were not true worshippers.)

Everything you know about them is a lie. They are worst than what you have heard. Once they enter your house and They start saying things like people are suffering, Earthquakes and Cyclones killed so many people, Africans kids don't have food and so on they speak about all bad things and bring guilty feeling first then if you are soft and weak minded you will fall in their trap (Once Again I am not blaming any Individual JW's). Watchtower has designed this classic mind control technique. When you start to study with them they will only say about good things about them and things you can do but once you go deeper into it then comes the list of things you can't do (God Damn it) Then slowly you will start lose your friends, relatives then you will only rely on JW's and you will be threatened to be shunned if you don't accept any of their doctrine. Avoid them and save yourself.

It just depends on what YOU think christian means. If you go by the biblical definition than of course we are.
one definition:
1. Professing belief in Jesus as Christ or following the religion based on the life and teachings of Jesus.
2. Relating to or derived from Jesus or Jesus's teachings.
3. Manifesting the qualities or spirit of Jesus; Christlike.
4. Relating to or characteristic of Christianity or its adherents.
5. Showing a loving concern for others; humane.
n.
1. One who professes belief in Jesus as Christ or follows the religion based on the life and teachings of Jesus.
2. One who lives according to the teachings of Jesus.
another:
a : one who professes belief in the teachings of Jesus Christ
even more:
Christian (help·info) is a person who adheres to Christianity, an Abrahamic, monotheistic religion based on the life and teachings of Jesus of Nazareth as recorded in the Canonical gospels and the letters of the New Testament. "Christian" derives from the Greek word Christ, a translation of the Hebrew term Messiah.[1]
So by all definition of the term christian, we are, because we teach, believe, and live by Jesus' teachings.
Of course, people always say, "no because they deny the diety of Christ!" Well than that would make all the christians, including the disciples not christians, because the belief that he is God did not come around till many centuries later.
And i know "chris" will come with his typical cut and paste answer of "cult"

Yes. We are.
Terry: With all due respect, who says we deny the divinity of Christ? Saying he is not God Almighty ... which is an accurate scriptural stance ... is not the same as saying he is not divine or not a Mighty God, one of the titles he was prophecied to receive at Isaiah 9:6.
Nex please.

No, a Christian is someone who has received the Holy Spirit because “Christ” or “Messiah” means “anointed one” and the anointing is the Holy Spirit:-
“ . . . you are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.” (Romans 8v9)
This began at Pentecost, and continues the same today:
“ . . . they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance. . . having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, he has shed forth this, which you now SEE and HEAR. . . For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to ALL that are afar off, even AS MANY AS the Lord our God shall call.” (Acts 2v4, 33, 39, see also Acts 10:44-48)
The JWs deny the need for this, saying that tongues was just a temporary thing for preaching the gospel. The truth is it was never that. Acts 2:12-14 shows it was no good at communicationg a message, the people were left in doubt and confusion, why? ... because tongue is for praying to God, not preaching to men ( see also 1 Cor. 14:2, 4; 14-18).
They are false witnesses, un-regenerated.

It seems not, in my opinion. Christian is defined by believing in the divinity of Jesus. Jehovah's Witnesses don't believe that Jesus is the same as God, and thus must not be divine. If Jesus is a separate entity from God as they believe, and is considered divine also, it would seem that they are polytheists, which also conflicts with Christianity.
