Michael Ennis- Should he stay NSW Hooker?

Now, as far as I am concerned, the NSW Hooker spot is a two-horse race- Ennis or Farah.

I personally prefer Ennis' play of style myself, but I can see the majority of the section prefers Farah. This leads to my question- Seeming Ennis is one of the few mainstays of the NSW team over the past couple of years, do you reckon that his status as one of the few men who have managed to play consecutive Origins would put him ahead of Farah in terms of suitability for the position, or do you believe that despite this, Farah should just stay Hooker?

Geez some of you blokes have short memories. Ennis has played the entire series and made no positive contributions what so ever. In fact he undid all the hard work of blokes like Greg Bird when his pathetic attempt at niggling Nate Myles completely backfired in game three, giving away a penalty which lead to NSW snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. In the process he demonstrated what an absolute coward he was by hiding behind Kade Snowden. Just to you remind you, check out the link below.

If it's a two horse race it's between a perennial Dally M contending, premiership winning, club captain OR a gutless, ineffectual, penalty-prone moron in the #9 jersey for NSW. If NSW want to win, the choice is easy.

EDIT: Knights, I agree with you that Farah and Gidley are great leaders and great players for their clubs, but at Origin level, selectors have given Gidley a lot more chances than they did Farah. Farah should have been blooded on the bench for NSW long before 2009 and for him to be chucked on the Origin scrap heap after two matches is just downright criminal, especially since the other options are no where near as good as him.

I reckon Gidley is better in at hooker than Ennis, but with that being said, Gidley would help the team most as a utility, not a full-time hooker.

It doesn't really matter what I say, because Ennis will get hooker. I think of it like this: Farah is too skilled for Origin. He has a more thought-out methodological approach, which will win you club games, and national games. But not Origin, where your goal is to win no matter what, and that involves being a prick (which Farah isn't and Ennis is :P).

Yeah it's definitely out of these two guys and to be honest I don't really care who it ends up being. Right now I'd probably prefer Ennis since he's the incumbent, his style of play suits Origin and he's developing into a true team leader but I wouldn't be disappointed if Farah got the nod, they're two completely different players but just as good as each other imo.

Edit: To be honest Diet Fist and don't think this is an argument starter, it's just my opinion but I think Farah tries to overplay his hand. In every game Ive seen him play for NSW and Australia he acts less like a hooker and more like an ineffective third playmaker. I think he's in the same boat as my man Gidley, great NRL player but has never and probably will never take it to the next level in rep footy. But like I said if he does get selected that'll be just as good for NSW as long as they stick with him.

Edit: I was going to respond in length to you jsinista but you're not even worth it. Your pathetic attempt to make me look bad was a complete failure as Diet Fist has been on this site for years and already knows me all too well lol

Farah. Ennis is a pest that QLD will just pick off. NSW aren't looking for a developing leader, they need a leader now and Farah is the man. We cant afford to give away stupid penalties to a team like QLD's because they'll make you pay for it.

Edit: Trust me Diet First, knights 10,11,12 whatever the phuc knows her league. Best not to have an opinion and just go with the flow. And if ur a kiwi, god help us all.

I reckon Farah is better but I wouldn't mind too much if Ennis got the position.

i think of Farah had the greater effectual pastime final night yet i'm unsure he would be chosen. If the selectors choose to maintain maximum human beings of the group at the same time from SOO1, Robbie probable should not be chosen. Robbie could actually upload a left foot for NSW and he has a nack for making forty/20s at extreme situations. the only factor i could be all in favour of roughly Robbie making commencing place could be his being waiting to maintain his composure. If he can do this, he can help lead the Blue around the pitch with the ultimate of them. i'm hoping he's chosen.

I prefer Farrah as a footballer but Ennis gets under players' skins so he would be better in Origin.

Holy Crap Knights never thought i would see the day when you would admit Gidley does not step up in SOO. LOL

Ennis has had his turn and proven himself to be ineffective so it is time to let Farrah or someone else have a go.
