Free Hugs Campaign in LA, safe?

I just found out about the free hugs campaign (if you don't know already, its where you hold up a sign and/or wear a shirt that says free hugs and give free hugs to strangers to try and raise global friendliness and really just to make someone's day!). Would It be safe to do this in LA as a 15 year old girl? Not like downtown or hollywood or anything. Better yet, where do you think would be good? Is it safe?

The whole point of Free Hugs campaign is uncover the human bond that exists among us. If you are questioning whether you should do it or not because of safety concerns then I'd say you're not ready.

Ehhh, not a great idea. If you could choose who you hug it might be OK, but maybe some people might get insulted that you won't hug them while you'll be willing to hug others. It could get weird. I mean, hugging only grandmas would be the best idea. What about doing it at your school, or are hugs not allowed? My son is your age and I wouldn't be wild about him doing it, people can get weird and take things wrong. (Sad, huh?) If you were an adult, I'd say, just be careful.

What do your parents think about this?

    Good luck!

Sounds like a good way to get pick-pocketed, mugged, robbed, or worse. If you have to do it, South Central at around 3 a.m. would be the best.

Safest place would be a touristy place, like city walk. But don't do it alone.
