Value of a 93 Nissan 240 SE Convertible?

I found a 93 Nissan 240 convertible that's been sitting for at least 3 years outside. The body has rust issues and interior needs work, overall I would say the car is between fair and poor condition. I know this car is rare, so I'm debating whether to get the car running and in drivable condition and sell it; or part it out. Anybody out there that knows about these cars please tell me information about them, so I can make an informed decision.

Back in the early 1990's almost every Nissan dealer had one or two of those 240 SX with the roof cut off by AUTO SUNROOF company. ASC attempt to make a decent coupe into a FLEXIBLE convertible. I say run away from that car. Even when new those cars were horrible put two 200 pound people inside and the doors barely shut. Parts for those doors that wear out will be imposable to find and if you said rust that would be very bad and only custom shops can replace the cloth top and rear window. Then you have to find out what killed that cat that made it sit for 3 years.

The car may be 'rare' but its not really the most desirable model of the 240sx. Unless its in great condition with no leaks, no water damage, and it runs strong, you would be lucky to get 2-3k. If you completely restore the car, you might be able to squeeze out 3-4k. Overall, its not really worth it as your range of buyers is not very large and most the buyers that would want this car usually end up buying a Miata instead.
