what do you think of this one?

About her head a golden hue,

From her eyes a glow divine.

Of her lips sweetness spew.

From her breast the milk of life.

with her touch the flow of love.

from the heart she gives in rife.

embracing her gift from above.

A tender kiss a loving hug.

the gentle word of the guiding hand.

Hugs so warm and snug.

A look of so much love.

An affection only she can give,

A gift from above.

A labor of love so you may live.

truly amazing is what she is,

a Miracle of all the earth.

Of God a wonder of his.

Nothing else has her worth.

without her there is no life.

No love,no warmth ,no joy

no happiness ,no sun, no light.

God's gift to girl and boy!

I think the poem captures the essence of the "Querida", as we know it back home.

Translated in English, the word back home means "the other girl", or the third party in a love triangle. And, added bonus to the boy - She (the third party) pays the electric bill. Notice the lines "no happiness, no sun, no light....".
