digital camera drivers, vivitar?

I bought a vivitar digital camera today. Little did I know when I would get home, my CD drive would completely not work at all. It's been messed up for years. So I'm wondering if there's anyway I can download the driver/software for it from a site?

The camera is a Vivitar v98378.

I checked the website and couldn't figure it out. I also had a friend of mine to try to help me find it and he couldn't either.

If I can't get it from a site could I download the software/driver onto another computer and send it to myself via email?

Update:

The Vivitar v98377 and Vivitar v98378 are the same drivers/software.

I'm very sorry you ended up with a Vivitar - pity you didn't do a bit more research to get something better.

    However, you won't need drivers/software.

I'm sure you're only asking this because you wonder how to transfer your photos, right?

The easiest and best method to transfer photos and video from your camera to your computer is via a little USB card reader (which are very cheap these days and widely available).

Card readers also work for moving photos from the computer onto a card (in case you want to take a few photos to get printed - NOT for viewing on the camera purposes).

Plug the reader into a USB port and insert the memory card.

It will show up as a drive, and you can simply drag and drop the photos across to the folder of your choice.

You shouldn't need a driver for the modern operating systems such as XP or Vista. Plugging the camera into a machine should cause the camera to be treated as a USB drive and allow you to transfer the pictures. If the computer is older, I would get the memory card and plug it into a card reader on an available computer, say in a computer or photo shop and ask them to transfer the photos for you.
