Baby will not sleep in cot?
My 1 week old son will not sleep in his cot at night. If I put him in it while awake, he'll scream the place down for half an hour til he's tired himself out. Tried waiting until he's nursed and in a nice deep sleep and putting him in, but he wakes up straight away and its back to square one. He's fine if he's put into his bouncer chair and doesnt wake?. Tried making it more comfy by putting a thick blanket under him.
I've been giving in and letting him sleep in the bed with me at night after a feed, but know its a habit i need to get out of. Any tips? My daughter was totallyy different and slept solidly in her cot from about 3 days old.

My little boy loves his cot! He has been in it because of the fact that being one week previous. I have no problems with him sound asleep in it. besides the undeniable fact that, he very without delay have been given right into a habitual of feeding throughout the day and sound asleep at night. (specific i know that i'm very fortunate). i think of that element of the fulfillment became into all the way down to the cot as I used it for him to nap in throughout the day besides as at night time and in basic terms lifting him out after he had slept. one ingredient that my son does like, that's against the SIDS rules, is he does want to be swaddled. i think of that it provides him re-coverage. i discover that interior the day, i visit swaddle him for a snooze and at night time I positioned him in his cot 'ft to foot' together with his blankets and then pop an opened up muslin sq. on the ideal of his head (no longer over his face) this seems to recreate the swaddle result and as quickly as he has long previous to sleep, i will pass the muslin removed from his head.

Try wrapping him before putting him in the cot (referring to swaddling) He is only a week old, it'll get better soon, keep the hope up!

Hi,
does your baby sleep on his back or tummy.I know they tell you to put them on their back but our granddaughter would never settle on her back so we placed her on her tummy and she still sleeps that way now at 9 months old. With a new born its finding a way which will suit your baby best.Try putting him in his cot in the daytime to so he can get use to it.If you have a moses basket put that in the cot so he can get use to the surroundings.x
