Interesting how you simply ignore what the rate might be like if the government did nothing. Most economists think that without global stimulus the unemployment rate would have been over 10%. Many believe that there would have been a depression-style demand spiral that could have pushed it even higher. Is it that Republicans can only keep one number in their mind at a time?

Why borrow?
Just rescind the $800 BILLION tax givaway that the Fiscally Crazy Republicans voted as part of their WELFARE FOR THE WEALTHY scheme.
