Am I protected on placebo pills?

I am on my last day of my placebo pills. This is my 2nd month going onto my 3rd. I was wondering if I'm protected on my placebo pills? I just finished my period today. Everyone says I'm not protected because this is the week of no hormones. but I have also heard you are protected. I dunno what to think, plz help

Yes you are protected during your sugar pill week. There has to be a week of no hormones so you have your period. But because the pill makes your body think its pregnant, it usually doesn't release an egg. Plus birth control changes your cervical mucus to make it hard for sperm to swim up into the uterus.

Like the answer above said.. birth control is not 100 percent. If you want to be super duper safe from pregnancy, the use condoms as well.. But I never got pregnant on birth control.

Thanks for being my 40,000 point question :)

No, you are definintely NOT protected. How could you be? Placebo means FAKE. It's a sugar pill. OK?

You can have sex on your period and most people do not get pregnant but there is always a possibility. But do not count on being protected while you are taking the brown pills.
