How to choose a grout color -?
We chose Mesa Beige tile from lowes:

and now I am second guessing the color grout we chose called Pale Umber. It seems to match too closely - and I am not sure if that's a good thing? Should it contrast or match ?? - please help!
Thanks !

I have ( for 20 yrs) recommended a grout color that matches as close to the main field color on the tile. Care must be taken on some tiles because of a small faint "halo" around the tile edge. Don t match this match the tile field color. Your tile doesn t appear to have that halo though, but a picture, its hard to tell.
If you use a contrasting grout what people will notice is the grout and not the tile.
The tile shown has very small grout joints and you put a contrasting grout in and a slightly bigger joint it will stand our a lot. And the joint shown is the absolute smallest you can go. Perhaps to small since the tile was done for a picture.
