What is the scariest movie you have ever seen and why?

I love watching scary movies. The last few I've seen havent been scary at all though. (paranormal activity 2, The roomate, vanished, and let me in) I need some REAL scary movies.

Angel Heart is a solid horror film with a blend of film noir. It takes a bit long for it to draw you in but once it does you won't be able to take you're eyes of the screen. It is a creepy film, although a lot of horrible stuff is implied, not shown. And it works, dammit!

Also, The 1408 film. That's the only film that was able to get under my skin in a decade. Hope something else like that comes out soon. Life gets boring without fear induced adrenaline rushes.

    The Shining

    Session 9

Fourth Kind - even without the stupid gimmick that it's real footage. No it isn't, btw.

For the fact that they are all FAR from straightforward. It's more than just murderers. They're also difficult to get your head around and some scenes are just really good.

The Fourth Kind and The Strangers. The fourth kind because it works in REAL footage taken by the real person who went through it, and it's sketchy. The Strangers isn't really scary, it's more mind-bending. It plays with your mindz
