Why are many teenagers atheist liberals?

Because they are easily mislead. Also because of being indoctrinated by older hippie liberal atheists. Young people are easily influenced by older, wiser people.

Mainly because they're trying to assert their own autonomy against they're parents.

If the kids are smart, they'll pass through this phase fairly quickly and begin to come around to more sane views.

Also, they haven't had to work for their living yet; many are still sponging off mom and dad. Once they grow up, get their paychecks and see how much money the government takes in taxes, they'll become conservative.

I could answer from a very biased position, being an atheist liberal, but I won't. My best guess is that it's kind of the "In" thing. Also, teenagers are often looking to rebel, and that is a very nice way to rebel. Especially those with strict, religious, conservative parents.

I'm an Atheist Liberal, and I think it's because my generation is a lot smarter, and by smarter I mean we have all the technology, science is 10 times better than it was 10 years ago and people just use their brains more now. I have nothing against people who believe in God, or are religious, just don't shove your beliefs down my throat, cause it's not getting anywhere.

a lot of teens have discovered reality. Religion is a fraud. When they grow up and have something to defend, they will become conservative.

Because many people tend to have issues with discrimination. Catholism along with the rest of Christianity is anti choice, anti gay, anti gender equality etc

Liberal means to support liberty. Why is that a bad thing?

Because teenagers today are much smarter and more educated. And they are exposed to every aspect our society through the internet, TV and etc and have choice.

becasue they have liberal tree hugging hippies for parents who never had the guts to disipline their children like they should have. instead of spanking they thought a time out would have been enough and now they grow up to be these dumb liberal non believers that think everything can go right in the world if we just hold hands and get along

They probably want to be different from the crowd and rebel against their parents.
