Should I get my wisdom teeth taken out?

I had one of them taken out a long time ago cause it was coming out in the wrong direction and my gums had swollen and I couldn't close my mouth. The other 3 are still there and they aren't giving me any problems. My dentist said I should get them taken out because the one above the one that's gone has nothing to hit against when I bite down. She also said they would be really hard to keep clean, and this could affect my other teeth. The reason I'm reluctant to have them taken out (other than cause it hurts like hell for a week afterwards), is because I don't wanna take out perfectly healthy teeth. Pretty much all of my other molars have cavities. She also said the longer I wait the harder it'll be to recover because the bone hasn't solidified yet or whatever. I'm 21 btw. So what should I do, should I get them taken out now or wait until they start bothering me, if that even happens.

I'm assuming you are speakme approximately them drugging you so that you fall asleep... for me, I used to be handed out the whole time, did not consider a factor. When I aroused from sleep, I did not even notice the operation used to be over, till I learned wads of cotton within my mouth and holes in which my tooth had been. It does not subject what you put on that day, despite the fact that I do agree they often would possibly not can help you deliver a blanket. In my case, all I don't forget is because the medical professional used to be injecting me, I requested him "How lengthy will it's earlier than I go to sleep?" and he stated "It'll be rapid." I closed my eyes and do not don't forget whatever after that lol. It's a lovely rapid and painless factor, believe me. I did it the wrong way too, in which I used to be wakeful they usually simply numbed the field to take away the tooth, however that harm so a lot more! I additionally ate ice cream afterwards. :) I did not use any painkillers both, despite the fact that I under no circumstances do for whatever so I would possibly simply be used to it.

I had mine out right before I started college. The dentist explained the same thing to me. The bottom ones were impacted and had to go. The top had to come out even though they came in fine because there was no counter to them. He explained about the alignment problems it could cause later. It's best to do it now before additional problems happen. Why wait til you are in pain? Get it over with ASAP!
