VF ' s were nice ' but chassis flex and poor brakes they do have .

I owned an 83 V45 Sabre just like this:

I loved that bike, great power, handled well for a bike of that age. The only issue I did have with it though is due to the way the carbs for the front cylinders were set in place if the bike was not run regularly the idle jets would get gummed up and the bike would not idle worth a damn. It usually meant pulling the carbs and soaking them. It would happen in a couple of weeks at times. It would have been nicer if it had a little more range too, about 220 kms a tank was all I got.

I own an even older 81 CB900C now http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g278/brynm/IMG_1... but miss my sabre.

I like the Sabre's styling better.

I remember them well. Either one was a good bike in its time. Question is, how have they spent the time since they were new? Taken care of or ignored?

That would be my only deciding factor....
