yes, jailbreaking is like piracy for apple devices, it makes all the paid applications 100% free... but with every dreams comes a cost, this cost is that if you take a free app from a jerk, he might have put a virus to come along with it... and like spy you touching yourself from an angle of the camera when you think you're all alone and then post this on a porn site...

a recent amendment to the DMCA has essentially made the jailbreaking process legal, but for the most part, expect that if the device goes **** up and apple realise its been jailbroken, it will void the guarantee.
