Do you think the government should continue with the shuttle program?

What about funding for Nasa to continue its programs, including a return to the moon and trips to Mars, etc.?

It's the best program the gov has going, so they should continue it, fund it well, and get on with space exploration. The program has had a huge influence on science, and electronics that we use every day. I also can't see paying the Russians to send people to space when we have a perfectly good system in place. Just build some new shuttles.

Considering overpopulation and depletion of natural resources that we are doing on this rock, I think we'd better get out into space and quick. There are more resources in space than even humans could use up (just grab a few asteroids), but Congress is too afraid of offending the Proxmire-like idiots that claim it's a waste of money. If we can't find it here, we'd better find it somewhere, and right now space is our only option.

Oh great NASA is shutting down. That's *counts on fingers* what 5,000 new unemployed workers in the field? Good luck getting a job all you future astronauts.

No. Privatize space station trips and get NASA to focus on new challenges.

i do think they should keep the shuttle! until someone builds a better space vessel to get us off this rock of a planet and into the stars, where the flying saucers are!

No,it's not a necessary program. It's not going to feed or house the people who are struggling right now.
