Are animal sacrifices a divine idea or a political policy developed by the meat-eating church hierarchy?

It was a way of appeasement for atonement to God by the followers of the Old Testament.

If the church is a meat eating hierarchy, why do we have Lent or for that matter fasting and absences.

According to the Bible, sacrificing animals was primarily practiced before the birth of Jesus and this is practiced by various other religions today. Eating meat was the primary source of food at the beginning of the church, but it was the pharisees, politicians of the time, that pretended to be the church hierarchy at that time in history.

In this era of history when bigotry prevails so abundantly, as a compliments of the divisive schemes of the elite, that are being implemented by the current generations of corrupted politicians, serving themselves and choosing to ignore the needs of the people that they represent, falsehoods about religion are being exploited to divide the masses to instigate profitable wars for the international bankers and big business.

My ham was very good this morning and I prefer for my choice to eat meat or not be left up to me.

Neither... they are barbaric and heinous acts against innocent living creatures performed by dangerously ignorant people. Divine idea? Political policy? I think not.... it's an ignorant and archaic practice and frankly just the thought of it really pisses me off (can you tell?) lol!!

I think it was more along the lines of a tax structure for an agrarian economy. Somehow (what passed for government in those days) had to be supported and food was what people had and needed.

No the Christian churches do not believe and condone animal sacrifices.

They only condone human sacrifice (Jesus).
