type of internet plan that is time limited?

If "capped" internet is an internet plan where you have a limited amount of data that you can download, what do you call the type of internet that only gives you a certain number of hours? Usually there is no cap so you can download all you can, limited by the maximum speed of course. And since it is time based, even if you don't down or upload anything, as long as you are connected, you use up the time alloted.

this was common during the days of dial up and is sometimes seen with 3g based internet

Update:

its common even now specially in 3rd world countries. in the USA you don't probably see it coz you are rich enough to buy unlimited hours

I've been on the internet since it was ARPANET and have never seen a time-limited account. Time limits are common in cellular usage, but never were, in the US, in wired internet accounts.
