Why do we do this stupid thing every year?
Yes, I'm talking about Daylight Savings Time.
Don't tell me it's about the crops; plants don't know what time it is.
Don't tell me it's for more daylight in the evening; that happens naturally because of the tilt of the Earth. We should have DST in the winter instead if evening daylight is what's so important.
Can someone give me a legitimate reason that we should lie to ourselves about what time it is for six months every year?

Well ? I will do my best. I believe they started it so save on electricity originally. The more daylight you have the less time to turn a light bulb on. But that was then and this is now, I agree it is stupid and they need to leave my clock alone. Take care

I think you're talking about daylight saving time. (Saving, not savings, There is no 's' at the end of savings.)

I can't speak for everyone, but setting the clocks ahead Sunday morning will save me money. On Sunday evening, I will be able to wait until about 7:30 pm, before I have to turn on my lights. As it is right now, I have to turn them on as early as 6:30 pm. And since I don't wake up in morning until well after it's light out, I still WON'T have to turn them on earlier in the morning.

why tell you the truth when you arent willing to hear it...
see.. yes.. it was not for "the crops" it was for the farmers to pick the crops...
and for the kids to be waiting for the bus to come in the light of day instead of darkness
and no... it doesnt happen from the tilt of the earth...not in enough of a manner to make it light like having daylight savings time does
see... but you arent willing to hear why... so.. ignore what i said
i wont continue explaining...
you just stay on your own time...
