  • Why is this the last season for the CCHA?

There are 11 teams. They will lose 3 to the Big 10, and Notre Dame and Miami are apparently going over to the WCHA. That still leaves six, which is what they need for a conference. (The Big 10 is only going to have six teams.)

  • Is Herman Cain pro-Life?

A recent y/a questioner found a quote saying that he supports a "woman's 'right' to choose." However, I found this response on his website:

    Cain's View on Abortion Policy

"Yesterday in an interview with Piers Morgan on CNN, I was asked questions about abortion policy and the role of the President.

I understood the thrust of the question to ask whether that I, as president, would simply "order" people to not seek an abortion.

My answer was focused on the role of the President. The President has no constitutional authority to order any such action by anyone. That was the point I was trying to convey.

As to my political policy view on abortion, I am 100% pro-life. End of story.

I will appoint judges who understand the original intent of the Constitution. Judges who are committed to rule of law know that the Constitution contains no right to take the life of unborn children.

I will oppose government funding of abortion. I will veto any legislation that contains funds for Planned Parenthood. I will do everything that a President can do, consistent with his constitutional role, to advance the culture of life."

  • Why does Michael Moore get a national media platform to rant his sophmoric Marxist drivel?

Who does he think he is? He's not a polititian. He's not even an entertainer.

Is it because he's rich? No, that couldn't be it...that would make him a hypocrite. That's my money!! When is he going to give it back?!

  • Why do we do this stupid thing every year?

Yes, I'm talking about Daylight Savings Time.

Don't tell me it's about the crops; plants don't know what time it is.

Don't tell me it's for more daylight in the evening; that happens naturally because of the tilt of the Earth. We should have DST in the winter instead if evening daylight is what's so important.

Can someone give me a legitimate reason that we should lie to ourselves about what time it is for six months every year?

  • Is it legal for a public utility company to cancel service for non-payment of a "deposit fee"?

Florida Power & Light has disconnected my service even though I am over $100 AHEAD in my monthly payments for service. Their justification is that my last two months' payments have been allocated to their "deposit" charge, therefore rendering me "past due" for my monthly statements.

    Is this legal?

  • Why do liberals continue to bash Christians?

Given that there are hypocrites (come join us; there is room for more) at least we are not routinely going throughout the world murdering innocents by the thousands. We are against homosexuality, but we are not for killing all the homosexuals. We believe in different roles for men and women, but we do not believe in enslaving women and denying them their rights. Islam is everything that the left accuses Christianity of being, yet the "religion of peace" seems to be no threat to the left.

    Hypocrites?

  • What are the real "classes" in America?

The liberals are hell bent on creating an "us" vs "them" class war so that they can brag about being the champions for the little guy.

    Fine.

Allow me to re-define the classes: Producers and Parasites. Which one are you?

  • Why do we observe the Time Change?

Don't tell me it's to help reinforce air raid restrictions. There aren't any air raids, and air raids aren't a seasonal thing anyway.

Don't tell me it has anything to do with crops. Plants don't know what time it is, and we don't actually change the time anyway. We're just changing what we are calling the time.

Don't tell me it's so we can enjoy more daylight after work. That's completely backward. We would need DST more in the winter than in the summer, when the daylight is naturally extended. (Ever try to put a toddler to bed at 8 when it's still light out an 9? Just plain stupid.) Besides, if we can agree by convention to change our clocks, could we not also just agree by convention to do everything an hour earlier without having to lie to ourselves about what time it is?

So no, this answer doesn't fly either.

"Best Answer" to the first person who can give me a LEGITIMATE reason to do this that couldn't be accomplished another way. And if it's such a big deal, why don't we just permanently change our clocks?

  • Is this the new "scientific methond?"?

Select an undesirable natural phenomenon, real or imaginary, and blame it on capitalism.

Collect uncorrellated data and call it "evidence."

Globally promote new "fact" using all sympathitic sources.

Denounce any dissention by labelling it as "biased."

Get Al Gore to make a movie about it.

  • What exactly is an "independant?"?

Is it someone who has no true convictions about issues, and votes for personality?

Is it someone who is split 50/50 on the issues between conservatives and liberals?

A person who listens to the exit polls and then votes for the projected winner?

They say "I vote for who I think is going to benefit the country." Well, so do I, which is why I'm a Republican.
