What exactly is an "independant?"?
Is it someone who has no true convictions about issues, and votes for personality?
Is it someone who is split 50/50 on the issues between conservatives and liberals?
A person who listens to the exit polls and then votes for the projected winner?
They say "I vote for who I think is going to benefit the country." Well, so do I, which is why I'm a Republican.

An independant would be like Huckabee or Nadar. They aren't really going for the presidency but theyre trying to get the "good" people in DC to listen to what the public needs and wants. They are the party that truly best represents the average American. That's why Huckabee dropped out, he i think didn'twant the presidency at all, but wanted to give a heads up to Obama and McCain what the people want and need

As an Independent i am not one sided on the issues as you are. That's no way to run anything. Some of the repubs policies are good some are bad and also for dems some policies are good and some are bad. We all need to realize that this is the real way to run everything. It's not all cut and dry for one sides policies to be able to run the country entirely and be resourceful. It just doesn't work as we have seen in the past. If the repubs were so good why did Bush DOUBLE the federal deficit from 5 trillion to over 10 trillion during his reign. One sided thinking is a way of thinking for a demise for all of the people.

This independent researches the candidates and disregards the polls. Republicans have shown themselves to be inept in making a smaller government. The last time federal spending decreased was in 1954. Why keep beating a dead horse? Asking for results is too much to ask from the Republicans, it seems. Most of you are content to just let the national debt continue to grow and don't expect any real change, I guess.
Independent libertarian for a reason, both of the main parties are inept .
