Why is this the last season for the CCHA?
There are 11 teams. They will lose 3 to the Big 10, and Notre Dame and Miami are apparently going over to the WCHA. That still leaves six, which is what they need for a conference. (The Big 10 is only going to have six teams.)

Miami and Western Michigan will play in the National Collegiate Hockey Conference and Notre Dame goes to the Big East/Hockey East while five members of the CCHA will join the WCHA. They all found a new conference. R.I.P. CCHA
