or what volume of foods do you live on daily to maintain a constant minimal weight, excellent vitality, and minimum sleep?

Doctor told me eat what ever it is your eating but to lose weight, cut the potion in half. (18 oz t bone with lobster tail and 6 biscuits now is 8oz 1/2 lobster tail and 2 biscuits.)
Calorie count is usually 1200 to 1800 daily now.

it's not the volume of the food that matters (suppose you ate only pounds and pounds of vegetables every day, that would be a lot of volume but not enough to maintain your weight). It's how many calories you need. If you are happy with your weight and trying to maintain it, you are eating enough calories. If you want to lose, you have to burn off more calories by eating less, exercising more or both. What do you mean by minimum sleep? You need enough sleep (whatever that means for you, for most people it's 7-8 hours), no matter what you eat. Of course it's not just all about the calories. You want to eat foods that are nutritious - not just "empty calories" such as candy. Read labels on food to see what's in them. Eat a balanced diet. Exercise.

I like to eat as many ounces of food daily as my appetite craves. There is nothing like a satisfied stomach with nutritious food inside of it to enjoy excellent vitality and to make sleeping one of the few luxuries left for mankind today. And there is not anything like eating a tossed salad, a baked Irish potato with my favorite toppings, a 12 ounce T-bone steak grilled to my specifications, a couple wheat rolls, and plenty of unsweetened iced tea... followed by watching tv and reclining on my lazy-boy chair... Why should someone want to live forever with the way politicians have screwed everything up?

It's not a matter of weight, but a matter of nutritional value. You can eat a very "heavy" meal, but if it's junk food, then it's empty calories. You could also eat a very "light" diet, but perhaps not get the nutrients that your body needs. It's a balancing act, but it's not so hard. Basically, I eat plenty of lean protein like chicken, fish, & meat, and as many fruits & veggies as I want. I try to keep the starchy carbs (pasta, rice, potatoes) to a minimum, but don't cut them out all together.
I'm not skinny & I'm not fat... I'm healthy!
