Does Royal Mail bring parcels along with post?

It will probably be taken in a van. If your normal posty is on foot, then he won't have it. He won't normally take things as big as say, half the size of a shoebox.

If you live on a rural, or if for some reason your normal posty uses a van, then he'll have it when he takes your letters.

EDIT: there are some incorrect answers here. If it needs to be signed for a postman on foot WILL take it depending on it's size, and he WILL deliver on a saturday.

I'm a postman, today, saturday, I was on foot and took out around 10 packets the didn't fit through a letterbox. One was a special and 5 were recordeds (needing signatures).
