So I know what new wave is, and the difference between 70s new wave and 80s new wave...but what is old wave?

wow. good question. there are plenty of references to 'old wave' but no real answers. i did fine this page http://www.kickasstorrents.com/old-wave-80-s-rock-... which suggest its more of the 80's rock type of stuff.
