Image converter software recommendations?

I shoot my photos in RAW file format and have realized that RAW files are not supported by the version of photoshop that I use. I have Photoshop Elements 7.0. I've used Pixillion Image converter to convert from RAW file format to other formats, but I notice that every time I do so, the image converter introduces a lot of noise into the photo. Are there any image converter software that do not do this?

TIA,

-G.B.

I just answered this same question a few days ago. Unfortunately, our cameras all output different RAW file types and each new camera model seems to have a different format. Adobe provides a DNG converter which retains all the RAW information and will allow you to open the file in the ACR in Elements. Yippee!!! ;)

Over in the right margin ("Downloads") you can choose the converter for Windows or for Mac.
