who liked he old nascar better because it seems nowadays the race winner seems to run away with it?

by nowadays i mean 2008-2011 because that's when ive been watching nascar

im sorry i just don't like the drivers winning by 1 or more seconds sometimes id like to see races like the 2003 carolina dodge dealers 500

    I think the races are better now then they ever have been. the points are closer, the talent is deeper (anyone can win), the cars are equally matched (for the most part), the facilities and cars are safer. I like the new NASCAR it is evolving with the times yet still remaining entertaining. leading by 1 second is nothing, all it takes is a little bobble or mistake and that 1 second and the lead is gone.

    I've been a fan for over fifty years.. I go to as many races some years, as people go to in a lifetime..

    I honestly have never seen closer racing in any series I've followed in my life.. I may not like the way it was accomplished, but I have to admit it has worked..

    Nobody will ever eclipse the record that Ned Jarrett set, when he won the Southern 500 by a margin of fourteen laps...

    I would have liked to have been there to see that one...

    You OBVIOUSLY don't watch many NASCAR races !!! They are closer than they ever were. Back in the day they used to win the race by laps.
