I dont think there was anything special about those other than they were big heavy motors. They should be like any other manual trans. IF the clutch linkage and springs are not already unhooked you need to unhook and remove them. You then just unbolt the bell housing (or bell to transmission bolts if it has them) and slide the transmission away from the engine. The clutch pressure plate will still be bolted to the flywheel.
Neat motors, they built a V12 version of them also.

easy just unbolt the bell housing from the block.and pull hard..is the motor and trans still in the truck??,
