There's a mouse in the house!?!?
We've got a mouse in the house, from what I can see there's only one. There's a cat has been hanging about and has killed four in the garden but I think there's only one inside (I hope!!). Anyway, I haven't come across any mouse droppings (I wouldn't see urine) but I have a seven month old baby who is crawling and putting all her toys in her mouth. Are mouse droppings and urine dangerous? I hate the thought of a trap but I hate the thought of the baby getting poorly more so a trap it has to be just want to know if they are dangerous to the baby?! Thanks!

Get yourself a cat to kill and eat the mouse, once the mouse is dead you're going to have to get a dog to kill and eat the cat, once the cat is dead you're going to have to get a chinese person to kill and eat the dog! once the dog is dead ........ what eats chinese people????? perhaps you'll need a T-Rex?

Mice pee when they run so if there's a mouse in the house it will be weeing and pooing. On the plus side, they tend to skirt round the edges of rooms rather than cut across the middle, so I'm pretty sure your baby will be fine. Get a trap and bait it with chocolate (cheese doesn't work) and with luck you'll be mouse-free in no time. Or you could try one of the "ultrasonic" ones you plug in the wall - I've heard they're excellent at keeping rodents at bay but have never used one myself. Link below for more info.

Absolutely they're dangerous and you need to get rid of it quickly. Mice and rats can spread lyme disease in their droppings and urine.
Steak out the areas next to walls as they tend to keep one side to them for safety but, because of your baby, I would give Rentokill or the council a call and see if they can help you.
The council will have a pest removal department because I got someone out a few years ago to get rid of a small wasp's nest in my roof, they might also be a bit cheaper.
As for traps, they're about the best home option but with a baby you will have to cover them, rodents also tend to set them off so they can take the food safely. Finally, if you're using traps, bait them with raisins or Sultanas rather than cheese, chocolate also works.

in case you get a catch, use peanut butter to bait it. Dcon works somewhat nicely. The glue traps are stable, yet once you don't get it quickly after it catches the mouse, he will circulate to any lengths to get off of it. We placed glue traps out, and in the morning only had part of his foot - he have been given away. Mice like cheese, yet look to love peanut butter greater ideal. there is likewise a poison bait at maximum farm aspects (i do no longer understand the call, in spite of the undeniable fact that it somewhat is attainable in a block) and it works super - yet no longer secure in case you have different pets that could desire to are available touch with it. I hate to declare it, yet once you observed one, you probable have greater. in case you're somewhat freaked out, call an exterminator. yet i could circulate get some mouse traps and set them. below sink, close to range, in cabinets are all stable places.

Mouse urine can cause some serious problems, especially for a tiny baby. If i were you, i'd get a few cats to find the mouse and torture it. Then you can get your friends around to watch

get a bucket, put a ramp up to the rim of the bucket so the mouse can walk up, put a rod of some sort across the rim of the bucket and balance some sort of platform on the rod. put a bit of smelly food on the platform thing
the mouse will walk up and make for the food and the fall into the bucket and not be able to get out
worked when my hamster escaped!

Yes!
yes your child can because of the fact that if your child or infant or baby gets to any thing like mouse droppings it could possibly mess up the kidney or it will just breakdown you body because your child is not use to that type of food or any thing.also if that case your child do get ahold to that then i would recomend you call for help as soon as possible because your child can die or get really ill from what he/she ate. also if you dont go to the hostpital because your child is not that ill then i feel you should still try to find out what medcines your child can take before it spreads through the whole body. but also talke to your childs docter and see what they can do to cure it before it gets way bader then it was in the first place.
