What does LM2 stand for?
Referring to any logistics meeting I have been in, in the USMC. No one in my company knows what LM2 stands for, but we always have an "LM2" brief.
Nope, its not a rank- We have a meeting about once a month where we brief whoever wants to know about our current maintenance situations and we call it a "LM2 Brief". No one knows why but everyone knows what your talking about when you say it.

When I was a Cpl I was told it didn't stand for anything. Since then I've heard it stands for Logistical MIMMS 2. The 2 being the 2nd generation of this report. It makes sense since it is the only logistical readiness report resident to MIMMS but I have never read this in any manual for myself, so I know no reference to prove this.

Sorry, I guess if someone was talking about something in meeting, and I did not understand it I would ask. But then things change and too many people today think they know everything and those that don't are consider idiots. Let them think what they want!
