Does anybody besides me just put their dogs out a lot?
I've seen dogs for adoption and the people doing it are really worried that if the dog doesn't bark to go out how do you handle it? Heck I put my dogs out constantly what's so hard about that?

All I have ever had to do after house breaking was ask if they need to go outside to go pottie. They either get up and come or they are not ready. None of my dogs scratch at the door they just wait for me to ask they know I will take them out. Also a good schedule helps. There internal clock will keep them on track.

My dogs sometimes will bark to be put out but normally will just jump around and be silly or poke me awake with there nose if im asleep(thats just how the tell me its toilet time lol). Sometimes Ill put them out if its been a while as my dogs dont ask to go out very often, they are very good tho, no messes.
I think people just need to get to know there dogs so they know ok this one needs to go out often this one doesnt. My lab needs to go out more then my border collie, but i will allways try and put them out together so there is no favoritism. And people need to pay attention to the dog (what its doing) and remember when they last put them out. My dogs get dinner at 9pm and then half an hour later they come in, so they can have a drink and do there buisness. I dont have water for them inside as if you do (they pee more and there more inclined to have an accident inside) But they are good and will ask to go out if they need a drink- they also have water mixed in with there dinner. After they have had half an hour outside i will bring them in and they know its quiet time/bed time.

When I bring home a new foster dog EVERYONE goes outside on a schedule.
I dont wait for a dog to tell me he needs to go out.
Even now, with everyone housebroken, I make the entire group go out last thing at night before I close the dog-door, and first thing in the morning before I give them the run of the house.
Its like sending little kids to use the bathroom before you take a road trip. :o)

I never understand when people ask this. I take my dog out twice a day, and he has no trouble waiting until I take him out.
I suspect that there are some people who don't take their dog out at all don't train their dog and then are surprised when the dog goes to the toilet inside without giving them a warning.

I leave my back door open and my dogs come in and out as they please. Sometimes they would rather stay outside! My 1 year old will whine if the back door is closed and she needs to go out and my older dog will only whine if he really really has to go out either then that he will just sit by the back door and wait.

I put my dog on a bathroom schedule... And I let him stay outside most of the day so he has plenty of times to go.
