ie systems 1412 replacment hard drive?
the hard drive on my ie systems laptop has died. looking for a replacement one but i dont knw how to find out whats compatible.
does anyone know how i would find out whats compatible?
or even what im looking for?

take it apart, the drive is most likely hiding inside a panel under the laptop, it may be on the side or on older laptops it may be under the keyboard.
Once you have the drive out it will either be a 2.5" IDE drive or a SATA. The IDE has 43 pins where the cable connects, the SATA has 2 sockets instead. Once you know what the type is then choose the size you want, older (single core) CPU based drives stick to something around 360Gb or less.
