My dad cut my hair as a punishment. Was it fair and what the hell can I tell my mum?

My dad has always been a really strict parent. I live with him, my mum and my brother. My brother is 17 and I am 14. At school a teacher gave me a detention. This is my first ever detention. I live in England and because my dad is so strict I always behave at school. I got behind with my homework because it all started to build up and I forgot my exercise book. My teacher gave me a detention. My dad got really mad at me and started shouting and saying that he will think of a punishment.
Half an hour later he called me downstairs and told me that he would be cutting my hair. I begged him not to. He just said no and that I would learn my lesson from this. My brother was then called downstairs and told to hold me still. He said no and started shouting at my dad saying that he would not force me to do anything and that he wouldn't let my dad cut my hair.
My dad hit him to the floor and kept hitting him. He picked up a pair of scissors and cut my hair from my butt to above my ears. I have like an inch of hair left. My dad has said to me and my brother that we are to say that there was an accident at school and he was forced to cut my hair like this. He won't let me get a wig, dye it or do anything to it. I have to leave it uneven. If I tell my mum the truth then my dad will hurt me and my brother. He will also kick us out of the house and we have nowhere else to go. I am also not allowed to tell my friends or teachers.
Was it fair and what type of thing could I tell my mum?

wtf, are you trolling? if not, your dad is a psycho and you should tell your mom or the police if he threatened you. also, he can't kick you out of the house, because as your parent he is required to make sure you have shelter and food and stuff. it would be illegal to kick you out if you are minor.

HELL NO!
babe, almost every child gets detention at school, that is absolutely no reason to cut off your hair, thats just horrible!
I don't want to make it worse by saying anything but forreal hun, you got to tell your mother otherwise yor dad will keep using your silence as an advantage - trust me i should know. tell a teacher if you can't tell your mum. they will be able to help you.

I'm not sure if you are male or female, but you dad is a total ******** if he hits his own kids and stuff then he should be kicked out of the house. It was completely unfair. I am male and have long hair and would be really ticked if mine was cut. But your dad has crossed the line by hitting y'all. I'm sorry if you take offense for me calling your dad a ********. I really hope you find a way for him to stop.

Domestic violence is never okay. You need to tell a trusted adult.. your mom, a teacher or other adult family member. Please don't keep this a secret... things will only get worse. If he thinks you will hide his secret, he will keep abusing you guys. He can't kick you out because you are minors. Your mom probably wouldn't let that happen anyways.

I know this will be hard to do but YOU NEED TO REPORT YOUR DAD FOR ABUSE RIGHT AWAY! You deserve much better than him for sure. Im very sorry that he did that to you. Also if your worried about your hair you can always wear a hat or get extensions.

Short hair is as well mainstream, I love lOng hair on guys more, it looks sexy: 3 short hair can look nice but it looks really common

It's all merely a matter of personal preference. I have short hair and guys just like it. And i prefer a person with short hair over a guy with long hair because long tresses tends to make guys look too girly.
