Xbox Live or wireless adapter?
I am thinking of getting xbox live for my boyfriends birthday, but heard about an adapter to pick up wifi from the xbox without paying for live monthly. he has the white xbox 360 without the wifi installed. he does, in fact, already have wifi for his laptop. which is the better choice? does the adapter do the same as a Live subscription?

the wireless adapter allows you to connect to the internet without a direct wire - it does not give you xbox live without a monthly fee.
Which would he need more? Does he already have live? Is the wire connecting his xbox to the internet all over the place causing a mess? Personally i'd say get him live cause he can live without the adapter.
