That is a very good question. If that had been a Christian saying that every Muslim in the world would be calling for a holy war. But because a liberal hack said it then it is ok.

I used to like Bill Maher, years ago. He's nothing but a liberal twit any more. I think he thinks that's where is rating are. Personally, I don't find Sharia Law to friendly. I wouldn't give Bill any credit for even being a comedian and would not get upset about what he says about the Quran. I'm sure somewhere, he's said the same thing about the Old Testament. Probably even the New Testament.

Since whilst used to be Bill Maher the ordinary for political correctness? He truthfully used to host a exhibit on comedy vital known as Politically Incorrect. Bill Maher thinks all Judeo-Christian books are hate stuffed books. Anyway, now not all liberals are that politically right. Especially the libertarian ones like Bill Maher. NPR has a tendency to fireside anybody who reasons even the slightest little bit of controversy. Its simply the way in which they function.

They will probably have a Fatwa demanding his head.
Think of the Dutch director "Theo Van Gogh" who was killed after directing a movie that pointed out how verses from Islam degraded women in a way that civilized society does not approve of. He was stabbed in the chest something like 14 times, NOT by a fundamentalist group, but just by a normal Dutch Muslim citizen who was offended, and his response was murder (it's allowed because that's the documented penalty of blaspheming their god.)

Think of "Ayaan Hirsi Ali", the Somali-Dutch politician who converted out of Islam and became an atheist. It's illegal under Islamic law to leave the religion and the penalty is death. So she is under constant security because the Muslims want her dead for speaking out and pointing out all the problems she sees in Islam. She's pretty famous and a pretty smart woman actually, just look her up.
But Europe is waking up.

Isn't it great how Comedians can give you the absolute truth and people laugh at it. He said the same thing of the Bible by the way. The Quran is an insult to Islam.

He's a comedian, that's what I think of him. I didn't know he described the Quran as a hate-filled book. Good for him.

i can't care less what a comedian thinks about my religious book. bring me a professor or educated man so i can have an educated conversation and learn something...
Does that qualify as an insult to Islam? everyone can have there opinions on my religion. i am not forcing him to convert. i doubt he has even read it but ok.

why don't you read more of the chapter to get the meaning? its talking about self defense. it says in verse 8:61 that if anyone does not wish to fight you, then you are not allowed to fight them.

"Fight and slay the pagans (or infidels or unbelievers) wherever you find them" (9:5).
Any book that calls for the execution of people who are not like you is by definition hate-filled. All the holy texts of the Abrahamic religions are full of this type of hate.

I don't take people with an IQ less than 50 too seriously.
Anyway, Yes, it does.
Lucky he doesn't live in an Islamic country.
