That the leader is at the back of the pack in just a few laps. There is no such thing as clean air. They tried to make both lanes equal but now the inside lane is not the place to be. I miss the old track. The racing has changed. It use to be the bottom was the place to be and they would bump and run but now getting under someone does you know good, but there is still short tempers and impatient drivers so it's fun to watch.

You will have a ball. Just like SuperDave said you are going to meet the nicest folks in the world, no matter who their favorites or yours it's all good, everyone gets along people will just be wandering by and stop to chat. It's amazing how friendly NASCAR folks are. I don't tailgate before the race, well that's not entirely true we do party in the parking lot before the race but don't eat, we stop for breakfast on the way. But after the race we set up our chairs, tables, flags turn on the Stereo and pull out the grills and coolers full of food and drinks and tailgate for hours. You will love it, chatting with people from all over the place and we always take a frisbee or football and play some catch. The smell of all the BBQ's firing up all that awesome food, we put on quite a spread every year and after spending 10 hours at the track we just eat and drink play some catch and eat and drink some more...LOL! I hope you really enjoy your first tailgating experience and want to do it over and over again. Have fun! If you need any tips just give me a holler i'd be happy to help.

That I'll be there on Sunday afternoon. :)

I prefer the short track racing to the larger tracks. Bristol is my least favorite of the 3 short tracks in Nascar but would still rank in my top 5 favorite tracks.

Bristol is the rubbing is racin' capitol of the world in my book. its just like your local 1/2 mile dirt track race, no one leaves without some battle scares. that is a true drivers track for sure! I (coming from the local scene) think Bristol and Martinsville is about as close as you can get to grass roots racing in Cup.

43 cars on a half mile, high banked race track. That's what racing should be. Don't tell Sonny that they can and do run 3 wide at Bristol now on a regular basis.

Just everything about short track racing. They Bristol nickname should be "Payback's a b*tch" that something started or ended there.

It's my home track, that is my favorite. But my favorite racing about it is the close action, the bump 'n run, basically everything.

short track racing at it's best with all the side by side close action. the pit road crew better get their sledgehammer tools ready to fix any and all race cars that get tore up.
