Biblically speaking: Are video games prohibited by God?

I am a 19-year old student, I play video games and I admit I am a little bit addicted to it but not out of control. If I minimize doing this, am I still sinning?

Many of the religious organisations are against any forms of entertainment. However, as long as you do not hurt anyone, in anyway, I think we are safe from incurring His wrath upon us.

Video games, especially those available in the market today are quite engrossing in nature. Anyone, who plays them for the first time, usually, gets hooked to it very soon. It is very addictive and the game designers have made it that way.

With that said, you should strictly control the amount of time spent with such games. Video games are meant for entertainment and one should not spend more time than what is necessary. You may play for 1 to 2 hours at the max. so that you may spend the rest of the day with other productive works.
