    (3x+2) /3 - (x-1) /2 = 1/6

    multiply by 6

    (3x+2)*6/3 - (x-1)*6/2 = 1

    2(3x+2) - 3(x-1) = 1

    6x + 4 - 3x + 3 = 1

    3x + 7 = 1

    3x = 1-7

    3x = -6

    x = -2

    multiply the whole equation by 6 to get rid of the denominator

    6[(3x+2) /3 - (x-1) /2 = 1/6]

    2(3x+2) - 3(x-1) = 1

    6x+4-3x+3=1

    3x+7=1

    3x=-6

    x=-2

    Multiply by 6.

    2(3x+2) - 3(x-1) = 1

    6x + 4 - 3x + 3 = 1

    3x + 7 = 1

    3x = -6

    x = -2

    6x + 4 - 3x + 3 = 1

    3x = - 6

    x = - 2

    PS

    Well done in use of brackets.

    Many fail to use brackets.
