Typically it's best to take a look at their NCLEX pass rates. In order to receive your lvn license you have to pass the NCLEX once you've completed your schooling.

You can also contact the school and meet w/ a representative to get a tour of the campus. I looked at three schools before making my final decision.

I'm currently an lvn student. Here is my advice....Make sure you're passionate about the medical industry before you make the decision to enroll.

I was a lot like you. I was not interesting in attending a community college or a university. At the time four years seemed like SUCH a long time. It really isn't. Once you've completed high school it seems as though time goes by much faster. I had an impulse and i reacted to it. I went to nursing school. I had to do something with my life right?

To be honest I don't regret it. Interacting with people who terminally ill and dying has changed my perspective on life. I'm more patient. I appreciate things. I have five more months to go. At the end of the day nursing is something I'll be able to fall back on for the rest of my life. I don't see it as a career. It's not my passion. There are girls who have dreamt of nothing else. They're the ones who typically do the best.

Somewhere along the line people have developed the misconception that nursing is easy. It isn't. Nothing about it is easy. You're constantly under stress. You're constantly problem solving. You're frightened that you could make a mistake and kill someone. your license is constantly on the line.

Typically family members will be very supportive. You' ll always have a job right? Nursing is a very respectful profession. Remember it'd your life not theirs.

. Most nurses tend to look ten years older than they actually are. If you're going to do this make sure it's something you LOVE. Or do a medical assistant program or volunteer at a hospital.

Maya Angelou once said "You can't be truly successful at something you don't love" (or something along those lines)

What I'm trying to say is don't rush anything. You're objective should be to become happy.

    Good luck :)

you've achieved the right style of prognosis, and it is not likely that you're going to run into everybody by twist of destiny who's conscious more advantageous about this problem than you do. in reality that nursing colleges may be extremely extreme priced. One danger is to seem into nursing courses at community colleges, even although they oftentimes have a waiting record and there is barriers as to the position you are able to stay and nevertheless attend. you've already looked on the internet, which may were yet another suggestion. once you've achieved a Google seek for for "LVN courses in la" or adjustments on that concept, at the same time as think ofyou've got a list of each and every thing that's accessible.
