If you knew you were going blind?

I know one thing aim in my 50s When i look out side I sit on my porch and I thank god that i am healthy and that I have awaken to a beautiful day i have 3 kids and 2 grandsons I AM glad I ,am here to see them I have a niece who had cancer it was in her eye they had to take the eye out when she was 2 she was to go for a transplant ,but something happened and she did,nt get it she is now 20,cancer took the eye but not her sdon'tnt talk about suicide my nephew did that to his friend and himself because he was manic depressive i never knew his brother my other nephew died and he blamed himself for this him and his friend were both m d and were doing drugs and took their lives i want to die an old lady .

well, rather than jump your stuff about offing yourself, and all that, I will just say this.

What if, after your attempt, you survive ?? What if you decide to off yourself, in a blaze of glory?

And you live !?

What if, after your decision to kill yourself, silently, leaves you worse off than before ?

Think about that,ok, for just a moment.

What if, after the attempts, and they FAIL ?? You will be crippled, maimed, scarred, BLIND and totally useless.

Think about that for a moment,then think on this.

Think about the people who FIND you. They find you fried to a crisp, no way to tell who you are, and no way to pronounce you dead.

Think on this: what if it was a small child, like say 4 or 5. They find your body and it messes with their head for the rest of their lives,making them forget their childhood and how they found this dead guy and it really made them sad,and they had to go to therapy?

What then?

Suicide is an option,to be sure, but I do not think it is the best one. You have no idea what your life will be like,should you decide to commit suicide and you LIVE. What then ? You think you are a failure when you will be bling, think of that feeling ten-fold,when you fail at suicide.

You have a future,and it is up to you on how best to spend it. Yes, blindness is a shock,and there are reasons for everything under the moon. There is a reason behind this,too.

If you fail at living, you may fail at death,too.

I can think of one person,who would rather live blind,than be dead. He died accidentally, and if he had the oppertunity to live life as a blind man, he would take it,rather than his life be cut short of a mistake he made.

Think on this, while you wait for your sight to go, ok?

Blind people are not as useless or burdensome as you are thinking. This may be just the thing to get yourself out of feeling sorry for yourself. Believe me, I am a pro at self-pity.

Pull yourself up by the bootstraps and stop the pity trip. Save it for when you are blind, because let me tell you, there is nothing worse than a blind man who cannot see what life holds in front of him.

the only person who would consider dying just because they were going blind is a person who lacks drive, imagination, and resourcefulness, why would anyone do that?

Ridiculous "question". What does going blind have to do with dying?
