What is a safe/good deodorant for a 6yr old girl?
She would need deodorant because her armpit stinks and she bathes daily. Ethel you are one sick pup!
Thank you Daughter and Janet! I know that antiperspirant can harm kids and I also thought about puberty. My grandmother got hers at 8 and I did at 9.

I agree that Toms may be an option. Whole Foods, Wild Oats, and Trader Joes amongst natural food stores would all carry Toms and other brands with natural ingredients.

I understand... I know a young boy who was wearing deodorant at a really young age. Some kids start producing body odor earlier than others. I think it has to do with all the processed foods. Young girls are also starting their periods much younger than they did 20 years ago.
I would suggest using anything that doesn't have antiperspirant. It should do the trick.
Good luck!

Baby powder. Johnson/Johnson It has stuff in it that deals with oder and its safe! I would not try a girl on deodorant until she is at least 10 but really 12.

Why would a 6 year old girl be needing to use deodorant? A child should not need to use deodorant until they reach puberty. If the child bathes regularly, there should be no foul odors coming from the child.

I would be going to her doctor and asking about what is causing the precocious puberty and trying to halt it before worrying about deodorant. Poor kid, next you're going to ask about pads for little girls.
